Housing Committee

The Housing Committee advocates for increasing housing, especially affordable housing, to meet the needs of an economically diverse and ever-growing population, primarily through letters to government bodies in our three cities. We support rent stabilization, anti-displacement measures, and opportunities to move unstably housed residents into safe, supportive housing. We encourage rezoning commercial to residential and mixed-use, especially near transit.

We usually meet the second Monday of the month virtually on Zoom. It is easy to become engaged in the work of the Housing Committee by emailing Co-Chairs Sue Russell and Kevin Ma at housing@lwvlamv.org.
