League of Women Voters (LWV) was formed in 1920 to help women take a larger role in public affairs after we won the right to vote. While the League of Women Voters began as a "mighty political experiment" for over 100 years we have been helping make democracy work by registering voters, providing unbiased voter information, and advocating for voting rights.
