The elections are over. What next? Help us discuss what steps we can take locally to promote and strengthen our democracy.

Coffee, refreshments, chat begin at 9:30 am.
Meeting 10:00 am to noon.

The Federal Judiciary Study

The League Los Altos Mountain View Area is participating in the Federal Judiciary study and is having a meeting on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Find details in the calendar and to be posted in the next Voter. Register here.

In preparation for our meeting the LWVUS Federal Judiciary Study Committee offers a Town Hall on February 4 that will allow League members to learn more about the Federal Judiciary and pose questions to the speakers.

Speakers are leading experts Alicia Bannon of the Brennan Center, Thomas Berry of the CATO Institute, and Errin Martin of NVG LLC.

Our next political era has begun.

The League has launched our Women Defend Democracy campaign to face the first 100 days of the new administration and beyond.

Through Women Defend Democracy, the League will work to:

Provide Democracy Education & Election Administration Support
Restore and Defend Voting Rights Protections
Abolish the Electoral College
Protect Democracy Organizations & Institutions
Fight for Reproductive Freedoms

As we move into this unprecedented time let's defend democracy together.

League Transformation - Dues Changes

At the beginning of February, you will receive an email from the LWVUS (membership@lwv.org) about the new national membership portal that we will be using going forward to collect dues. You are being asked only to log in and complete your member information. LWVUS wants to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information and to understand more broadly who we are as an organization.
