Voter Outreach – Why It’s Difficult and How to Overcome

The news media is constantly talking about turning out voters in the 2024 election. Are you wondering why it is so hard to get some communities to vote in a highly contested, high stakes election?

Since 2022, the LWVC has led a coalition to push for state funding in California for voter outreach, focusing on communities with historically low turnout. These communities often face underinvestment in voter engagement. LWVC announces a new study – just released – by the Data for Social Good, that outlines strategies for creating more equitable voter engagement by using an equity-focused funding model.

You can read their report here.
