Los Altos City Council to Draft District Maps
The California Voting Rights Act (CVRA) is intended to minimize racially polarized voting in City Council elections by moving agencies from at-large elections to voting districts. On April 18, 2024, the City of Los Altos received a Notice of Violation of the CVRA. The notice demands that the city immediately transitions from the current at-large elections system to a district-based one. Your input is needed on possible district maps. Unbiased presentation of state and local ballot measures by League member Pete Stahl who will explain the measure, outline pros and cons, and answer your questions. | Yard Signs
Spread the word about League election events and resources
Post a League sign in your front yard to spread the word about our nonpartisan election events and voter information.

You will be asked to login to your League account or complete a contact information form before you can sign up. Once we receive your registration, we will contact you to pick up the sign.

Uncertain about the ballot measures? This election season, the League is piloting an educational ballot measure workshop for League members to learn about and discuss several of the ballot measures.
Discussion helps people process and analyze information. Join other League members and friends to consider the pros and cons of several ballot measures. All that we ask is that you come with an open mind, listen respectfully, and share your ideas in a thoughtful manner.

Encourage Voters in States That Make Voting Harder
Remember, we’re not asking for money. We’re asking for a little of your time. We work with the non-partisan organization, Reclaim Our Vote. The organization has a 70% turnout of people contacted for the 2020 election and they follow up on the cards with calls and visits.
You can write to:
- North Carolina – to mail between September 15-30
- Texas – to mail between October 1-15
Write with Others
