Mark your Calendar for Program Planning

League of Women Voters is a grassroots organization. At the Program Planning meeting members come together to discuss local priorities for 2024-25.

Members, please attend and offer your thoughts on community issues on which to focus. We will discuss national priority recommendations for LWVUS to present at the June 2024 convention. Doors open at 9:00am for coffee and time to chat with friends. Program begins at 9:30.

Are you a ‘No Party Preference’ voter?

You can check the status of your registration for your party information at registertovote.ca.gov. For more, contact the Registrar of Voters’ Office at (408) 299-VOTE (8683) or toll-free at (866) 430-VOTE (8683), or visit www.sccvote.org."

There are three options for "No Party Preference" (NPP) voters in the upcoming primary election on March 5,2024:

1. American Independent, Democratic, and Libertarian parties have opted to allow NPP voters to “crossover” and vote in their primary election. The ROV urges voters to return the postage-paid postcard early to ensure they receive the ballot they requested.

2. Those wishing to vote in the Republican, Peace and Freedom, or Green party primaries must re-register with that specific party by February 20, 2024, to receive a ballot for that party.

3. NPP voters who do not re-register or request a crossover ballot will receive a ballot without any presidential candidates. However, the ballot will have all other state and local contests on it.
