Lunch with the League:Schools Squeezed

The next three Lunch with the League presentations will focus on the impact of the state budget cuts and of the economic downturn on local schools. Superintendents will present an overview on the impacts on their respective districts.

National Privatization Study Shifts into High Gear

This winter Leagues across the Country will study the privatization of government services to develop a national privatization policy on the topic for consideration at the National Conference in June 2012.

Citizens Redistricting Commission Releases Final Maps

The Citizens Redistricting Commission issued a press release regarding the California Supreme Court's summary dismissal of two lawsuits challenging the Congressional and State Senate maps. LWVC urges members to decline to sign referendum petitions being circulated to overturn these maps.
